The Department of General Psychology at University of Padova invites expressions of interest for Associate Professor (tenured) and Assistant Professor (3-year tenure track position leading to Associate Professor) positions in Psychology, in the subdisciplines of human experimental psychology (perception, cognition, language), cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology, quantitative psychology and psychometrics, or clinical psychology. The Department is consistently top-ranked in the Italian research assessment exercise (VQR) and has been recently flagged as “Department of Excellence” within the Italian university system; it offers a lively research environment and excellent infrastructure in terms of laboratories and state-of-the-art equipment. Successful candidates will carry out their research activities in the context of a 5-year project funded by the Italian Ministry for Education, University and Research to support the development of “Departments of Excellence”. The teaching load, defined according to national and local regulations, is set to 120 hours per year for Associate Professors and 80 hours per year for Assistant Professors, including both undergraduate and graduate teaching.
Applicants should have an outstanding track record of publications, as evidenced by articles in top-tier journals, a promising research agenda, the ability to attract research funding, and excellent teaching experience (especially for the Associate Professor level). Applications from scholars with international backgrounds is particularly encouraged.
