Finalità
Purpose

Al termine del corso, gli studenti avranno ottenuto le nozioni base per svolgere una analisi qualitativa tramite il software ATLAS.ti22: saranno in grado di raccogliere e gestire con semplicità diversi set di documenti di testo, appunti e file multimediali, di esaminare e comparare tali fonti sulla base di una specifica linea di ricerca e utilizzare gli strumenti di output per l'analisi e la discussione dei risultati. La finalità del corso è di rendere gli studenti autonomi nello svolgimento del loro lavoro di ricerca qualitativa ed, eventualmente, del loro lavoro di tesi.

At the end of the course, students will have obtained the basic notions to carry out a qualitative analysis using the ATLAS.ti22 software: they will be able to easily collect and manage different sets of text documents, notes and multimedia files, to examine and compare such sources based on a specific line of research and use the output tools for analysis and discussion of results. The aim of the course is to make students independent in carrying out their qualitative research work and, possibly, their thesis work.

IMPORTANTE: è necessario scaricare la 'versione Desktop'; tale versione ha durata limitata di 5 giorni, quindi è preferibile non aprirla subito dopo averla installata ma aspettare il giorno dell'inizio del corso. Il software è supportato sia da Windows che Mac (la versione che verrà presentata è per Windows).  E' possibile contattare la conduttrice del corso in caso si riscontrino problemi durante l'installazione del software.

Lezione 1
- breve introduzione al processo di analisi qualitativa
- panoramica dell'interfaccia di atlas.ti 22
- creare un progetto: aggiungere documenti, raggrupparli ed esportare il progetto finale
- breve introduzione alla codifica: cos'è un codice e come si crea, quali sono i processi della codifica
Lezione 2
- approfondimento sulla codifica: imparare a utilizzare gli strumenti per la codifica, i memo ed i commenti
- breve esercitazione pratica
- creazione e gestione dei gruppi di codici
Lezione 3
- utilizzo degli strumenti per l'analisi dei dati: query tool, smart codes, filtri, tavole di co-occorrenze
- creazione di report e output di codici
- creazione di cloud e frequenza di parole
Lezione 4
- creazione dei network: aggiungere e collegare nodi di un network, creare relazioni e link, modificare il layout, creare report dei network
- esportazione del progetto in vari formati
Lezione 5
- discussione su eventuali dubbi
- esercitazione finale e raccolta feedback

- brief introduction to coding: what a code is and how it is created, what are the processes of coding
Lesson 2
- insight into coding: learn how to use tools for coding, memos and comments
- short practical exercise
- creation and management of code groups
Lesson 3
- use of tools for data analysis: query tools, smart codes, filters, co-occurrence tables
- report creation and code output
- cloud creation and word frequency
Lesson 4
- network creation: add and connect nodes of a network, create relationships and links, modify the layout, create network reports
- export of the project in various formats
Lesson 5
- discussion of any doubts
- final tutorial and feedback collection
